Crail is a wonderful place to visit
at any time of year and is regarded as one of the most picturesque fishing
villages in Scotland, situated in the part of Fife known as the East Neuk.
Crail's beautiful harbour lies to the south of the High Street and is best
reached on foot, having parked in the town. From the harbour appears to be a
riot of reddish stone and white harled frontages intermingled with gray slate
and red tiled roofs. All of this tumbles down the hill from the High Street to
conclude on the side of the honey coloured stone lined harbour, complete with a
few small fishing boats and occasional piles of lobster pots. It looks as if
someone had designed a film set depicting an ideally pretty fishing harbour.
Craigary Holiday Flat sits above
the row of shops in the High Street and is handy for all the local facilities
as well as being ideally located for reaching the local tourist attractions,
both in Crail and beyond. Parking is available on street at the front of the
Flat. On approaching Crail from the St Andrews direction,
continue
on the main thoroughfare following the road round to the right into High Street
– the Flat faces the Golf Hotel.
The flat was built in 1834. The
accommodation has been modernised and is maintained to a high standard.Visit
Scotland have inspected and graded the propery as 3 Star/Very-Good. We
